The Mount Sopris WNA winch is a logging hoist capable of positioning a geophysical probe or other tool in a borehole. The system is equipped with slip rings and connectors, through which surface instrumentation can communicate with the probe. A precision measuring wheel and depth encoder are also included to allow the probe depth to be monitored. The cable is automatically wrapped on the drum in even layers through the level wind mechanism. The motor is controlled by a motor speed controller, which allows the user to vary the logging speed. The WNA Winch and Winch Control are designed for use with the MATRIX or MGX II logging consoles and downhole probes to complete the geophysical logging system.

The 4WNA-1000 + 3WCA Winch and Controller system can be mounted to meet multiple customer-specific truck or skid applications.  Contact Mount Sopris for ideas to enhance your application.  Third party boom assemblies or custom boom assemblies are often used with Mount Sopris components.  In the photo below customer built a bulkeahd area and mounted the 4WNA winch alongside a 3rd party boom assembly addinf ease and flexibility when setting up at a well site.  In this application the 3WCA controller was mounted in the enclosed area with Matrix Console, data acquisition computer & printer and operator work station.
