The new Mount Sopris 2SAA-1000 user-configurable, multi-frequency, monoploe-dipole full waveform sonic tool is capable of measuring in-situ shear velocity in many geological environments, and when combined with density, vertical profiles of Poisson's Ration, moduli, and rock strength are determined. At construction sites, logs help engineers estimate ripability. Acoustic and optical televiewers yield high resoultion images of features that interesct the borehole wall which may be used in stress-strain studies. |
